Government Inter College Silogi in one of the oldest colleges of Pauri District. We've also heard from all our elders about it. I have also studied here from 1981 till Mar 1983. During our time the school had a very good reputation in terms of academic and sports as well. It was Shree Gokul Dev Kukretiji's Era. He himself is a very learned educationist and has a very good hold in various subjects including English, the one in which most of we Garhwalis lack. I did'nt have much of opportunities of learning English under his effective guidance however we had equally qualified educationist Mr K S Kandari. Again a very soft spoken and well behaved lecturer who had the knack of making his students learn. (Sir, if you happen to read this, I owe all my success (what ever little I could achieve (I'm a serving army officer))to you. My sincere thanks and all good wishes for good health). I had a good fried circle, but somehow lost contact with most of them, a few of course are still in contact. I had, Bharat, Birender Negi, Girish, Shanti Prasad, Vinod Dabral and Narendra Singh Rawat. Only three female classmates Kusum, Chandramukhi and Padama.
